Using Art to Break Down Styrofoam Waste

Public art installation. Green innovation. Sculpture. Terreform ONE’s “Bio-Informatic Digester” is all of these things, using an organic method to breakdown Styrofoam waste, typically a 100,000+ year process. This is one of the installations developed in collaboration with the City of Camden, New Jersey, Camden Community Partnership, and Rutgers University Camden as part of “A New View Camden,” a Public Art Challenge winning project that transformed 6 lots plagued by illegal dumping along major transit ways into dynamic art spaces.
