Preventing a Major Cause of Death Around the World by Supporting Daycares

A silent epidemic, drowning is the leading cause of death among children ages 1 to 4 in Bangladesh. Beginning in 2012, we conducted a study that found that community daycare reduced the risk of drowning among children enrolled in daycare by 88%. Since then, we have supported daycare for over 50,000 children in Bangladesh. We’re proud to have supported these life-saving efforts that have led to this critical government program.
