Improving Air Quality

Using data-driven strategies, Bloomberg Philanthropies works in key geographies around the world to reduce air pollution and protect public health.

Air pollution is a major threat to public health everywhere. Poor air quality creates and exacerbates respiratory conditions and other health concerns that impact the daily lives of millions of people.

Bloomberg Philanthropies aims to improve air quality by supporting pilot projects and engaging in other projects to design and lead impactful initiatives that accelerate efforts to end air pollution.

Using data gathered through innovative new technologies, the program works to identify the sources of air pollution, inform people about the impact of poor air quality, and develop science-backed solutions to better manage air quality.
