THE POSITION    

Bloomberg Philanthropies is seeking a talented and highly organized project manager with an eye for design and strong writing skills to be part of its internal communications and marketing team. The role requires working closely with colleagues across Bloomberg Philanthropies, as well as external partners. The ideal candidate will also be a strong, versatile, and fast writer who has an interest in event content production, design, and project management.    

Candidates should thrive working in fast-paced, dynamic environments and be able to anticipate changing needs and shift priorities as required. They should also be confident, self-directed as needed, and comfortable managing projects with their peers and senior colleagues.   

 This role will be based full time in New York City. Some evening and weekend work will be required.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage deck design and production, including owning content throughout the review process in partnership with internal clients to ensure feedback from multiple sources is synthesized and incorporated into the material 
  • Give feedback to designers on the creation of graphics, charts, and maps; and manage the creation of other content as assigned 
  • Support speaker prep with both internal and external experts 
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, encouraging creativity, innovation, and cross-functional cooperation  
  • Provide clear and concise project updates to key stakeholders, highlighting challenges and recommended solutions  
  • Respond to competing and changing priorities in real time as needs arise 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE  

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, writing memos, proposals, briefings, creating PowerPoint presentations, speaker preparation, and or marketing copy writing or design 
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment with a flexibility and willingness to work outside normal business hours (evenings, weekends) 
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and the demonstrated ability to effectively interface with senior level colleagues, both verbally and written  
  • Proven ability to produce clear, thoughtful, and well-researched written content in a variety of formats 
  • A sense for how to communicate visually   
  • Must be a team player and enjoy working in a collaborative environment 
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
