Position

As a Data and Systems Administrator you’ll focus on data collection and entry, build dashboards and reports to support Bloomberg Philanthropies programs, initiatives, events and projects.   You will work on the development and implementation strategy of the central contacts database, built on the Salesforce platform and, to streamline processes, we are currently integrating our other platforms into Salesforce.  

Through your work, and attention to detail, you’ll uphold our standardized method of storing data and to provide this information accurately, comprehensively, and as frequently as requested.  You will work closely across our organization to analyze and ensure data is input efficiently and accurately, build visualizations of the data through reports and dashboards, and manage user access. 

The role is based in New York City

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Data collection and entry of monthly fundraising data
  • Bulk extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of contact data
  • Identification and remediation of data pattern outliers and duplicates
  • Development of reports and dashboards for our senior leaders
  • User administration
  • Assist with coordination of business critical and sensitive reporting requests
  • Provide project assistance and additional ad-hoc data management support for the department, demonstrating a commitment to being responsive to priorities and resourcing needs as they shift

Required Qualifications:

While no single candidate will have all these professional and personal qualities, skills and characteristics, the ideal candidate will have the following:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in data management and 1+ years Salesforce administration experience
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience 
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, Microsoft Excel, and AGILE methodologies
  • Knowledge of Ungerboeck, Fluxx, Raiser’s Edge is preferred
  • Experience handling, manipulating, processing, and verifying large sets of data with accuracy and integrity, ideally within a non-profit organization or political campaign
  • Strong attention to detail and task follow-through
  • Good project management skills for executing short term projects and reporting requests
  • Proven history of solving complex data problems with a sharp eye for detail
  • Curiosity and a passion for learning and applying knowledge
  • Superb interpersonal skills with a comfort working across diverse teams and handling senior leaders
  • An ability to handle your time efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible, open, positive, and collaborative personality

Salary Information 

Annual Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level
