Sitar Arts Center and Bloomberg Philanthropies Partner to Bring Arts Internship Program to Washington, D.C.

Bloomberg Philanthropies is expanding the reach of its Bloomberg Arts Internship program to Washington, D.C, through a new partnership with Sitar Arts Center, a multidisciplinary art organization that provides accessible arts education to children, teens, and young adults in Washington who are facing financial barriers. Through the Bloomberg Arts Internship program, rising high school seniors complete paid summer internships at local arts and cultural organizations in five U.S. cities. In Washington D.C., a cohort of twenty-five students will intern at cultural sites around the city three days a week and participate in workforce development and college readiness training at Sitar Arts Center twice a week.

The City of Warsaw, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and the Clean Air Fund launched ‘Breathe Warsaw,’ a new ambitious partnership to improve air quality in Poland’s capital. The initiative will provide technical assistance and capacity building to support the deployment of ambitious policies to improve air quality and benefit climate and health. It will strengthen and leverage air quality data to inform policies and better understand sources of pollution in the city.

Bloomberg Philanthropies and EdVestors to Double Successful Arts Internship Program for Boston High School Students

EdVestors, a school improvement nonprofit in Boston, and Bloomberg Philanthropies announced the expansion of the successful Bloomberg Arts Internship program in Boston over the next two years. This program connects high school students in five U.S. cities with paid summer internships at local arts organizations to help them acquire skills necessary to succeed in high school, college, and as future adults and community leaders.
