Everytown for Gun Safety

Everytown for Gun Safety is America’s largest gun violence prevention organization. It brings together nearly six million supporters who push for common-sense public safety policies that respect Second Amendment rights and reduce gun violence.

When Mike Bloomberg served as mayor, meeting with the loved ones of New Yorkers killed by gunfire was one of the most difficult parts of the job. To help ensure that more families did not experience the same tragedy, Mike took action and co-founded a national coalition called Mayors Against Illegal Guns. It grew to over 1,000 current and former mayors and later merged with the grassroots group Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. Together with Mike, they launched Everytown – now the country’s most powerful grassroots force for gun safety.
